About the Design!
As I mentioned in my post from November 30, I’m back doing the blog again but I’ve tried several things to lower the maintenance on the site so I can spend less time but give more posts. One of the things I did was totally trash the layout that I had and went back to basics using the Kubrick layout in red & black. This really has saved me a lot of time. I can use widgets easier, my graphics scheme is much simpler to maintain and the whole site in general is much more readily compatible with any add-ons, plugins, widgets, etc. that I might like to include. (Even that jukebox on the home page that hangs off the right margin… It works and it gives you a legal sampling of the more mainstream music that I’d like to share but don’t want to get into trouble for posting.) (CocoRosie!)
The one thing I want to make sure of is that it doesn’t reflect on own business’ main product, which is web design. I know RRB is not great web design but in this case I’m more concerned with content and at least it doesn’t make you want to puke when you look at it. I sure don’t want to make you feel like puking. There are some sites out there that do that you know. But not a single one by my company.
I just wanted to share that and make that clear to anyone who might make the connection and wonder why RRB doesn’t have an amazing, cutting edge design.
Thanks for listening. And understanding.
